New Zealand has celebrated the Treaty of Waitangi for many years. Many services were held all over the country to keep this special day in mind. About 2,500 people went to Waitangi.
Some of the celebration prayers were told by prime minister Jacinda Ardern, police commissioner Mike Bush and race relations commissioner Meng Fong. Marmara Davidson from green party also wrote her own karakia.
